This year I have been nominated for David Shepherds 'Wildlife Artist of The Year', this will be my second nomination in my two years of entering. This year I will be exhibiting 'A Very Grand Blue' at Mall Galleries in London from 6th June until the 11th June 2011.

Previously I was a finalist in the 2009 Wildlife Artist of The Year Competition (award entry). It was great to see my artwork up on the wall of the prestigious Mall Galleries in London, along side like minded artists, and to chat with David Shepherd and various celebrities who turned up on the opening night.

On 1st march 2010 I was invited to be resident artist for a week at www.nature-in-art.org.uk
This was a wonderful experience and would like to thank Simon Trapnell and everyone else at Wallsworth Hall for making me feel so welcome.

The response to my unique paintings was quite remarkable. This was my first residency, and I was able to speak to people about my artwork, and the feed back that I had was wonderful. Almost everybody were of the same opinion that they had never seen wildlife painted in such a way, and that it was lovely to see something different for a change.

I had many school parties come to visit, it was great to see the reaction from the children and teachers. The head mistress from one of the local schools was so impressed that she came back in the afternoon with a different class.

I am Exhibiting a couple of my paintings this year at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art. You will find all the details at www.newa-uk.com
